Bio
I cannot believe that I have been paid to have fun taking photographs since 1975. I joined the PPOC/SPPA in 76 and was pleased to learn that my clients and PPOC photo judges liked my work. Business was good and my images received awards in competition, in 1985 I was honored to be named PPOC’s Professional Photographer of the Year. As a member I have been active within the association on boards as well as judging at provincial, national and international levels. It was also a great privilege to be appointed as Canada’s first judge to the inaugural WPC competition. My photo career has really had two directions with the first half devoted to portraiture in a small rural city and the second half had a commercial focus in downtown Calgary. After selling my Calgary Studio in 2007 that combination of experience has allowed me to pursue a range of projects in today’s marketplace. As a photographic consultant and freelance photographer in Victoria BC I pursue projects that are both interesting and challenging.
