2015 – Portrait
Field of Dreams.
This photograph was taken during a funeral in the Eastern Townships. My nephew, Nathaniel, was confiding in me at the time of how lonely he felt now that his uncle Sherman had passed away as he visited him often and enjoyed the many chats they had over the years. As we were at Sherman’s farm at the time, I simply asked Nathaniel to walk into the field. which had the famous pinnacle mountain in the background, and my portrait of Nathaniel conveyed the solitary feeling of being alone as well as sort of out of place, given his attire, as if in a dream.
