World Photographic Cup / Awards
Canadian talent took center stage at the World Photographic Cup (WPC) Awards Ceremony in Quito, Ecuador, as three Canadian photographers proudly represented Team Canada in person. With 6 Canadian finalists in the running this year, the excitement was electric as the world’s best photographers gathered to celebrate artistic excellence. Back home, the rest of WPC Team Canada came together virtually, united in spirit as they watched and cheered for their nation’s top photographic talents. Our Canadian photographers earned 1 Gold Medal and 5 Top 10 places! In the end, Canada secured an impressive 6th place ranking (out of 28 nations), continuing Canada’s legacy of excellence on the global stage.
“My goal was to be somewhere in the Top 10 in the world, to make it into the Top 4 is better than I imagined. I am very grateful and inspired.”
2025 - 4th Place / Renée Robyn
Approaching photography like a treasure hunter, Renée’s compositions are uniquely cinematic, often becoming pieces of a bigger world represented beyond reality – expertly blending fact, fiction, and a little digital alchemy.
Image Story: Walking the barren landscape, she is the visual representation of resilience, vulnerability and strength that is shaped by the environment she belongs to. Cloaked in furs and natural fabrics, she channels the ancestral roots that connect her to the earth, honoring those who walked before us.
