Bio
Violet learned early on in life to appreciate the little things and to find the beauty in the discarded. From her nature and wildlife images to her fine art and landscapes her unique perspective is evident and often taking the road less travelled. Whether it is for conservation or preservation Violet’s work often leaves a lasting impression and conjures up a true sense of environment where the viewer is forced to slow down, immerse themselves and realize just how insignificant they become in the grand scheme of things.
“I am both humbled and honoured to have earned the opportunity to represent Canada as part of the World Photographic Cup Team Canada. To have the support of your teammates helps solidify the greatest sense of community.”

Late Night Snack was photographed in a decommissioned 1885 asylum for the insane during a fundraising event for its adaptive reuse. Patients and staff living in this environment were totally self sufficient. What better way to share the stories, beauty and passion of preserving old buildings than through my lens?
