Bio
Photographic artist Terry Hrynyk MPA has a magnetic attraction for the natural world. Having grown up in Northern Ontario, the elements of nature have inspired his imagery. Whether he is capturing a landscape or a portrait there is a strong relationship to the splendor and inspiration the Canadian vista provides. The first step in Terry’s creative process, is that of being receptively reflective and contemplative to that which is being mirrored to him in the present moment. The second step then involves him conveying his clear understanding of composition, texture, tone and color to creatively express the visual content within the larger story experienced.
“It is an honour to be granted with such an opportunity, and I feel like I have already won by joining with all of these amazing Canadian photographers on the team. This tribute just makes me want to create more images to share.”
2023 – Nature / Landscape
Capturing the essence of the B.C. Mountains meeting the Pacific Ocean is a wonderful creative challenge. The scenery in the West is so vast! When this image presented itself to me, I saw that I could begin to show the layers of this complex relationship between water, mountain and sky. The levels of dark to light only added to the depth of the landscape. The cool tones of blue helped to show the harmony of each of these elements as one.
