Bio
Three decades have seen Manpreet in several genres of photography, including corporate, dance, events etc., but none enthralled him more than nature and wildlife. After living half his life in India and the rest in Canada, he loves and understands both these countries and today loves to share their beauty through his images and photo tours.
“It’s a great honour to represent Canada in the World Photographic Cup for the third time. Each year brings new, incredibly talented artists, making this stage even more inspiring. The experience pushes me to grow as a photographer, and I’m proud to be part of the extraordinary Team Canada family.”
2026 – Portrait Illustrative
When I see a shy, quiet 16 year old, get on stage after getting into her dance clothes, I see a transformation happen. This dancer now displays passion and energy that controls the stage and the audience. It’s as if she is the master of her world. In this image titled “Dancing up a Storm”, I tried to encapsulate that feeling into a two dimensional image.
2025 – Nature Landscape
Ladakh is a high altitude desert in the north of India, one of the few places one finds double hump backed camels as a remnant of the silk trade. The clouds rising up the snow clad mountains and the setting sun made a perfect backdrop to the camels and their herders on the sand dunes.

The sun was setting and the tide was in when I saw this lone cormorant sitting on a stump jutting out of the water. The rising wind warned of an impending storm. The bird’s face, eyes and feathers glowed in the fading light but I could feel its despair as it saw the chance of a meal that evening disappearing with the sun. In the magical world of photoshop, I have tried to recreate the feeling.
