Bio
Bob is a photojournalist with the Mission Record newspaper, where he has the opportunity to capture a wide range of subjects—from local politics and community events to sports and theatre.
When not on assignment, Bob pursues his passion for photography through various genres, including landscape, macro, and composite imagery. His dedication to the craft extends to his active membership in the Canadian Association for Photographic Art (CAPA) and the Abbotsford Photo Arts Club. Participation in the club’s monthly competitions has allowed him to continually refine his technical skills and artistic vision across multiple photographic disciplines.
“This marks my first submission to the World Photographic Cup. After attending a gallery exhibition showcasing the work of past winners, I was deeply inspired and humbled by the artistry, creativity, and technical mastery of previous team members. It’s an incredible honor to now count myself among them as a member of Team Canada.”

This minimalist photograph captures the graceful silhouette of an acoustic guitar, illuminated by a single, delicate line of golden light. The composition is meant to emphasize the instruments delicate curves, and the quiet power of its form – music reduced to its purest essence: line, shape and shadow. The use of negative space draws the viewer into a meditative stillness, inviting reflection on the relationship between sound and silence, light and darkness, presence and absence.
