World Photographic Cup / Awards
The World Photographic Cup is a competition in which a team of photographers represent their home country.The photography family (or Camera-derie!) is a bond that transcends language, culture and geography. That’s the foundation behind the World Photographic Cup, a one of a kind international team competition.
Photographers from 38 countries around the globe participated in this year’s World Photographic Cup. For Team Canada, the grueling process began last summer, when submissions came in from coast to coast, vying for only 3 precious spots in each of the six categories. The final 18 images went on to represent Canada at the World Photographic Cup.
All Top 10 finalists are now in the running for individual Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals and depending on their final ranking, these images have the chance to help Team Canada win the World Photographic Cup! And here is one medalist!

2020 Bronze Medalist / Amanda Beers
A stunning wildlife image by Amanda Beers has earned her a Bronze medal in the Nature category of the 2020 World Photographic Cup competition. Along with her Canadian teammates Amanda watched virtually as the results were announced from Rome, Italy.
It’s not often that you see photographers cheer each other on and get just as excited as the winner, however the World Photographic Cup is a team competition. Team Canada has a special bond, and we are thrilled for Amanda, and our other two medalists in this year’s competition.
