General FAQ - Adding Content & Image Specs
Info about adding content in general areas if it is not covered under the monthly to do list.
This procedure is only for the footer so don’t forget to also change the Partners / Associations and Parners / Business pages
To change Major Partners on FOOTER:
Note that only Association Partners and Business Partners goes on the Footer
Go in the Edit Menu Partners, Clients, etc . (in the black section on the left in admin)
Many Partners and Supporters are already created if they are there:
you just have to activate them (publish)
and select the Logo categories (see logo categorries below)
You can add more if required.
Add New Logo :
Go in the Edit Menu Partners, Clients, etc . (in the black section on the left in admin)
Click on : Add new Logo
Add Title : Company Name
Select Logo Category: See category below
Insert Target link: Their website with the http:// or https://

Team Canada Curators – include press release and links to News Post and Facebook post asking them to LIKE and SHARE. Thank them again for picking great images for Canada and remind them of the zoom date.
Newsletter Followers – include press release and links to News Post.

Canadian Photographer Submissions - Open

Under Slider Revolution Plug-in/ find WPC Home, module
-to turn a slide off and save it go to slides (top left) and click “eye icon” on/off
-to create a new slide chose ‘duplicate’ then edit this duplicate

Successful photographers will be notified early October and are required to provide a headshot, bio and image story for future promotion.

Edit team members page
Insert the template “Member Bio – Add a row of images” (found on blue bar under template icon)
Do not insert the new image at this time
Reorganize the order of images to have the current year first (use that sections move tool upper left corner)
Choose the correct category under the image and Edit the date for the correct “Year” and “Category Name”.
Delete other “year and category’ rows BUT DO NOT DELETE the row that just says ‘Heading;’ you will need that to type the WPC World score for that image
Select Team Category for this year (WPC Team Canada 2022, 2023, 2024…) (in far right column)
Update any information as requested by the team member
Save (Update) the page
Go to “TEAM / Add New”
Enter FirstName LastName in the Title area
Insert the template (make sure you are in Backend Editor, look on blue bar for template icon) : Bio Team Canada Member
Publish the page (important step)
Go to the team Masonary Grid Widget
Remove “TeamCanada Member” placeholder by clicking “X”
Type the new Bio “Name” you just created and Select that name
Save
Insert Bio (edit box -use text tab top right to ensure you are between formatting codes)
Insert Quote (use text tab top right)
Do not insert images or images Story at this time
Edit the date for the correct “Year” and “Category Name” under the image.
Delete other “year and category’ rows BUT DO NOT DELETE the row that just says ‘Heading;’ you will need that to type the WPC World score for that image
On right sidebar:
Select Team Categories (WPC Team Canada 2022, 2023, 2024…)
Add Feature Image:

Insert the Headshot

Load the Gallery Template named: Gallery 20xx – WPC Team Canada (must be in backend editor to see templates)
Edit text: listing members by category in alphabetical FirstName order
Enter the First name and Last name of the photographer (in bold )
Enter the city, Province of the photographer like this: Toronto , ON
Add members bio link to the READ MORE button by selecting edit then URL
Do not upload the images from the maker at this point
On right sidebar click ALL GALLERIES (so it shows up in the website menu)
Preview the page to make sure you have all the correct photographers
Publish the page
Under Slider Revolution Plug-in/ find WPC Home, module and click edit pencil
-to turn a slide off and save it go to slides (top left) and click “eye icon” on/off
-to create a new slide chose ‘duplicate’ then edit this duplicate
Under Settings
-if needed edit text on right column “select content”
-update Discover More link URL by selecting it and choosing “actions” on left side bar
-copy and past the News Post link
Under Slide Options
-change background with media library
-change slide name – top centre
SAVE
When finished go back to WP Dashboard (top left W icon)
Change the Heading Title in the gray zone:
New Title: Our 2022 Team Canada Photographers have been announced!
New Sub Title: Visit again in December to see the 18 amazing images!
Text under red line: Optional to leave past years medalists listed
Name the post like this: 20XX WPC Team Canada / Photographers Announced
Insert the template : Canada’s Team / Photographers Announced
Change paragraph text if you want or just re-arrange. Maybe add the YEAR to first sentence.
Edit to the TEAM Masonry and Grid Widget (empty looking row)
Remove “WPC Team Canada 2021” by cliquing “X”
Start typing WPC and Choose album page for the current Year
Add Excerpt text (can copy and paste from paragraph above nice to mention the number of photographers selected)
Select News Categories (right sidebar): Canada Team
Insert Featured image “WPC-Team-Canada-Feature-Team-Photographers-20xx.jpg (you need to make this image using the psd file in Dropbox inside Useful Items folder)
Save (Publish)
Share to Team Canada Facebook page
Send Facebook link and News Post link to all Team Canada members so they can promote themselves.

-change slide name – top centre

Team Canada Members – include press release (in both languages) and links to News post, facebook post, Social Media template and Certificate templates. Remind them of the January zoom date.
Team Canada Curators – include press release and links to News Post and Facebook post asking them to LIKE and SHARE. Thank them for creating the team and remind them of the zoom date.
Newsletter Followers – include press release and links to News Post.
Supporters and Associations – include text from press release plus the PDF’s and links to News Post and Facebook post asking them to LIKE and SHARE, and put in their newsletters. Thank them for the support.
